A New Addition To The Family

Today we had a little visit from the newest member of the “Stripe Family”; Casper Klint also known as “Lill-Klint”.

11 days old and already coming to work with dad – this little guy will definitely do great things!

Redesigned homepage

Our new homepage went live this afternoon. The biggest difference is that we now run the whole site on WordPress which allows us to manage updates in a much easier way. We have also moved our video gallery over to Vimeo – with the added bonus that you now can see most of the videos in full HD. The old blog has also been integrated into the new design.

Hi everyone!

In 2007 STRIPE studios opened its doors, with an ambition to make stunning visual effects for the Film, Commercials and Broadcast market in Scandinavia. It has now been 5 years since then! With an incredible dedication, amazingly hard work, and not least close to 400 productions under it’s belt, Stripe studios is now one of the top vfx studios in Scandinavia.

We will celebrate this 5 year anniversary more thru out the year. And to start with, we have a smoking new showreel for you to mark this event.

Supermix Character and Films

STRIPE recently finished work on two films for the Norwegian candy manufacturer Brynild and their product Supermix. This was done i collaboration with the Oslo based agency Bare Reklame.

The work started out with a long development process around story and character development. This resulted in the idea of a parody on the X-factor /Idol reality TV show genera. The character would perform a song in a “Sour” way (SUR) and a Original way witch would relate to the Supermix candy products.

We didn’t have a brief from the client on the Character design, so we pretty much started out with a clean slate. We considered and tried out most kinds of characters in the process. Everything from humans and superheroes to animals and aliens. Finally we ended up on a design that for us was pretty undefined. The idea was to not relate the “being” to any specific known form, but to get an original character that people related to the product.

Nils and Mehmet is getting comfortable at Stripe

Stripe has since August two  new full time super talanted artists in the 3D department.

Nils Arne Brekke has more than 15 years of experience in CGI. Fresh back from Vancouver film school with some new cool tricks up his sleeve, he’s the versatile senior that Stripe needs, and he always has a new angle on the day to day challenges we face.

Mehmet Özdemir is the young gun from Sweden who has more talent than any junior we’ve seen in a long time! Throw him a challenge and you’ll always get a positive suprise when he delivers!

Although a bit late, welcome to the family guys!

Stereoscopic 3D Film Wallmans 2010

In July 2010, Stripe in collaboration with Ultimax 3D made a Stereoscopic live action film for the entertainment restaurant Wallmans Sallonger in Oslo. The film had it’s premiere in the show stat started on the 2nd of September 2010 at Wallmans.

This was a great experience for everyone involved. The equipment used was a stereoscopic mirror rig from Ultimax on which we fitted two Panasonic AJ-HPX3000.

Stereograph Morten Skallerud, who’s the most experienced DOP with stereoscopic filming in Norway was a key player to make this production come out as well as it did. Many thanks!

Other people involved in the filming was John Einar Hagen -Producer, Jannicke Mikkelsen – B Photo / Inspillingsleder / Script (Couldn’t have done it without you!), Sigmund Rønning – Sound and Light, Henrik Domanski – Kameraassistent, Svein Håkon Henriksen – Produksjonsassistent.

Scriptwriter, Director and showmanager for Wallmans was Tore Sergei Myklebust (The most innovative guy in Norwegian showbiz!)

Producer and Project manager for Stripe was Martin Klint, Atle Berg – Postproducer / TD, Geirr Johnsen – Postproducer.
